Job Summary: The X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures in a safe and efficient manner. This role ensures accurate imaging to support diagnosis and treatment while maintaining a strong focus on patient care safety and communication. The technician works collaboratively with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position follows a 40-hour workweek 8 AM 4 PM Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
Position patients accurately while ensuring comfort safety and proper shielding.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively following all state and facility protocols.
Verify patient identity and medical history prior to imaging procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records imaging logs and documentation.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines.
Assist in maintaining equipment functionality through routine checks and reporting malfunctions.
Communicate effectively with patients families and the healthcare team to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain a professional and compassionate environment that supports patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
Competency in performing a full range of diagnostic radiology procedures.
Strong communication teamwork and patient-interaction skills.
Ability to maintain a safe and effective imaging environment.
Dependability attention to detail and commitment to quality imaging.
Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology Required
Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification Required
License: New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T) Required
