Job Description

Salary: $52,000 - 58,240 per year Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent, along with 1-3 years of general experience or a combination of experience and college-level education.
  • At least 6 months of experience with the NMCI Service Desk.
  • Candidates currently on a Performance Improvement Plan or Attendance Warning will not be considered.
  • Possession of 8570 certification - CompTIA Security + CE.
  • A minimum of three months’ experience supporting NNPI and/or SIPR in a Tier 1 role.
  • Capability to achieve Flank Speed Tier 1.5 qualification within 30 days.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of computer and networking technology.
  • Ability to accurately document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions applied.
  • Familiarity with NMCI's internal structure, processes, and tools.
  • Proficient in HPSM ticketing and the Knowledge Management System.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
  • As a Service Desk RDM Technician, I will:
  • Utilize automated information systems to assess standard situations.
  • Evaluate incoming requests, both computer-generated and verbal, and take initiative to categorize and prioritize tasks to manage time effectively.
  • Independently resolve issues or collaborate with teammates to address concerns, escalating to the next level of technical support when necessary.
  • Assist users by fulfilling individual requests for information or training regarding the various databases available.
  • Instruct users on how to use PCs and networks.
  • Exercise critical thinking skills to quickly comprehend complex systems.
  • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in high-pressure situations.
  • Engage with individuals across all organizational levels.
  • Develop and enhance peer mentoring abilities.
  • Provide excellent phone and email support, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication skills.
