Job Summary

Langan is seeking an Environmental/Chemical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Phoenix, AZ . This individual will serve a key function in working on small-scale and large-scale environmental land development projects, regulatory compliance and remediation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner across disciplines in a continuous learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and execution of field investigations and remedial operations by collecting environmental media samples, performing field tests and collecting and recording data;
  • Complete standard logs and field forms;
  • Conduct regulatory and compliance research and prepare permit applications/plans;
  • Complete calculations, inventories, and data analysis using standard computer software and models;
  • Prepare technical reports including engineering texts, tables, graphs, and figures; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering;
  • 0-2 years of work-related experience;
  • EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam preferred;
  • Prior relevant internship or professional work experience preferred;
  • Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent computer model and engineering software skills;
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical analysis capabilities;
  • Commitment to working in a safe and healthy manner;
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
  • Possess a valid driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation access to remote job site locations.
